Deforestation in china and other countries affects the overall climate of the earth because the “role trees play in transpiration” deforestation can change the climate. This process is when rain falls and the roots of trees absorb it and transpire it into the air as water vapor. When deforestation occurs this process cannot be completed and the overall climate is changed. For example, in 1998 the Yangtze River in china was flooded due to deforestation.

If a forest is cut down or replaced by smaller plants, most of the rainfall isn’t absorbed by the plants. Instead, the rain runs off of the soil and causes soil eroision and flooding. The forest climate then becomes drier. Deforestation also leads to flooding, such as the flooding of the Yangtze River in China in 1998.

Trees abosrb rain and release it as water vapor. The vapor forms rain clouds and falls downwind of the forest. Without these trees, the climate of the earth may change and there may be flooding do to the lack of “water absorbers”.

Transpiration is an important process by which water that is absorbed by plants, usually through the roots, is evaporated into the atmosphere from the plant surface, such as leaf pores. Trees are a very important plant in this process. Since water absorbs heat when it evaporates it helps cool and shade areas. With deforestation, the overall climate will become warmer.

Trees absorb a lot of water, from rain and floods. Without trees the climate would change. Like floods would occur because there isn’t any trees to absorb the water.

Trees absorb a lot of water at comes down as precipitation. And if that tree is taken away, the roots of the tree don’t absorb that water anymore, and it floods.

When you cut down a tree the soil starts to erode and water isnt absorbed by the roots. This causes heavy rains and floods down wind. The chopping of trees can increase the severity of storms in certain regions around the earth.

Tree’s make air for us to breathe no matter where you are on earth do to the “role trees play in transpiration”. Less trees means less oxygen for all of us in the long run.

When trees are cut down there are many detrimental factors to an environment. Flooding and soil erosion are just a few (as mentioned in the case study). Deforestation in china can affect the overall climate of the earth because trees provide shade, if trees are cut down there is no shade, thus a hotter climate.

It can cause the climate to get drier, in some cases hotter, and cause flooding in many places where trees have been cut down.

the trees absorb a lot of heat and provide shade, which lowers the climate in that area. If enough trees are cut down in a forest this can change the climate of the earth because you are basically changing the biome to a desert making the temperature alot hotter.

When deforestation occurs it can cause flooding because the roots from the trees are what hold the water in the ground. The climate can become dry because of run off water.

Trees absorb large amounts of water. When deforestation occurs the trees aren’t there to absorb the water from floods.
