  1. Gravity causes the gases to be held close to the earth intead of escaping into outer space.

  2. The effect of earths gravity on the atmosphere is that it allows us to even have an atmosphere. This is due to the effect of holding in the gases, and not allowing them to quickly diffuse. Also gravity makes the atmosphere closer to that because it is more dense.

  3. Due to gravity,we have an atmosphere. If we didn’t, the gasses would just scatter out in space. It’s also layered based on which has more of a gravitational pull toward earth

  4. The gravity of the earth is what holds the atmosphere close to earths surface, without it we wouldn’t have an atmosphere.

  5. Gravitational pull keeps things in orbit of the earth such as the moon as well as keeping certain gases in the earth.

  6. Gravity effects our atmosphere because it keeps all gases contained on earth so they don’t escape into space.

  7. Gravity holds gases close to Earth so they can’t escape into space.

  8. Due to gravity, our Earth has an atmosphere in the first place. Otherwise, the gases would quickly diffuse into space. Also, gravity makes the atmosphere more dense closer to the Earth – the upper layers push down against the lower layers.

  9. The gravity always pushes against objects for instance the suns flare and molten iron wants to explode and push out like a super nova. But it can’t cause the gravity pushes against the massive star. Earth is like the same thing except there is no gases pushing out the gravity just keeps the atmosphere from floating away and being destroyed

  10. Gravity traps the gases I our atmosphere, it keeps us in rotation, it keeps the integrity of the sphere shape we are.

  11. Gravity keeps the atmosphere close to the Earth and also causes gases to stay on Earth.

  12. Due to gravity, our Earth has an atmosphere if there was no gravity the gases would quickly diffuse into space. Also, gravity makes the atmosphere more dense closer to the Earth – the upper layers push down against the lower layers.

  13. Gravity compresses our earth and that’s why we are the most dense planet.

  14. Because of gravity Earth has an atmosphere. If we did not have gravity then the gases would quickly diffuse into space.

  15. Gravity is what condenses the earth and makes the heavy part of the earth in the center and what keeps the light atmosphere around the earth.

  16. Gravity keeps the elements in the earths atmosphere. Without it they would disappear into space.
